Nächsten Montag Treff mit Victoria Ritter, Thema: Feuerschweißen - Next Monday Treff with Victoria Ritter, Topic: Forgewelding

Victoria Ritter, unsere nächste Referendarin und Mitglied bei CBA- Californian Blacksmith Association, führt uns am Montag dem 19.07 um 19:00 CEST in die Technik des Feuerschweißens ein.

Feuerschweißen ist die älteste Schweißtechnik, und wird von Schmieden seit der Eisenzeit angewendet. Es war eine ausschlaggebende Technik, sowohl in der Herstellung des Materials als auch für alle Produkte, die daraus hergestellt wurden, weswegen das Feuerschweißen einen speziellen Platz in der menschlichen Evolution einnimmt.

Neben dem spektakulären Bild, dass sich beim Feuerschweißen bietet, ist es ebenso eine hilfreiche Technik für das moderne Schmieden.

Die Präsentation wird in Englisch gehalten werden. Die Fragenrunde wird ins englische und Deutsche übersetzt werden.

Victoria Ritter is our next presenter and is a member of the CBA – Californian Blacksmith Association and takes us into the technique of forgewelding on Monday 19.07 at 19.00 CEST.

Forgewelding is the oldest form of welding used by blacksmiths since the Iron Age. It has been a key technique in both the manufacturing of the material itself and all the products that could be made, therefore it has a special place in human evolution. Besides it provides a spectacular picture it is a very useful technique to use in modern blacksmithing.

The presentation will be in English. The question section will be translated into German and English.
