Restaurating the chandelier in Helsinki cathedral by Jouku Nieminen

Jouku gave this Treff about the restoration of the chandelier in Helsinki Cathedral. The chandelier had been damaged during lowering it to exchange it with an earthball for an art project. Several parts of the chandelier were bent during the lowering.

For restoration, the chandelier was disassembled behind curtains in the cathedral, repaired, and put back in place. A very important part of this is to properly mark the pieces so one can put it back together.

From beginning to end, were 11 engaged listeners from several countries with whom experiences were shared and questions answered.

Thanks to our cooperation with ABANA we will be publishing the recording of this Treff in the not too far future.
